Breast Augmentation (Augmentation Mammoplasty)

If you are dissatisfied with your breast size or shape, breast augmentation can increase fullness and projection of your breasts, improve the balance of your figure and enhance your self-image and self-confidence.

A breast augmentation may be a good option for you if: you are bothered by the feeling that your breasts are too small; you are dissatisfied with your breasts losing shape and volume after pregnancy; weight loss or aging; your breasts vary in shape or size; one or both breasts failed to develop normally.

This procedure involves inserting implants filled with silicone gel or saline under the pectoral muscle through an inconspicuous incision, usually in the crease under the breast.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

A woman’s breasts often change over time, losing their youthful shape and firmness. These changes and loss of skin elasticity can result from pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, aging, gravity and heredity. A breast lift can rejuvenate your figure with a breast profile that is youthful and perky.

A breast lift may be a good option for you if: you are bothered by the feeling that your breasts sag or have lost their shape or volume; your breasts have a flatter elongated shape or are pendulous; your nipples fall below the breast crease when unsupported; your nipples point downward; you have stretched skin and enlarged areolas; if one breast is lower than the other.

A breast lift raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. Sometimes, the areola (the darker skin surrounding the nipple) becomes enlarged over time and a breast lift will reduce this as well.

Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammoplasty)

Overly large breasts can cause some women to have both health and emotional problems. In addition to self image issues, you may also experience physical pain and discomfort. The weight of excessive breast tissue may impair your ability to lead an active life. The emotional discomfort and self-consciousness often associated with having large pendulous breasts is as important to many women as the physical discomfort and pain.

A breast reduction may be a good option for you if: you are bothered by the feeling that your breasts are too large; your breasts limit your physical activity; you experience back, neck and shoulder pain from the weight of your breasts; you have regular indentations from bra straps from supporting heavy, pendulous breasts; you have skin irritation beneath the breast crease; your breasts hang low and have stretched skin; your nipples rest below the breast crease when they are unsupported; you have enlarged areolas caused by stretched skin.

A breast reduction is performed by surgical removal of the excess fat, glandular tissue and skin. In some cases, excess fat may be removed with liposuction. The technique used will be determined by your breast composition and amount of reduction desired.
