About Dr. Brown
Since establishing himself in solo private practice in 1999, Dr. Wilfred Brown has become a leading plastic surgeon in Connecticut. Whether enhancing a patient's appearance for elective reasons or reconstructing debilitating injuries or body changes resulting from cancer, Dr. Brown has helped to make a positive difference in the lives of thousands of patients. After building this strong foundation in general and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Brown now concentrates his skills mainly on cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Brown completed his medical training at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed six years of General Surgery training through Yale University at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut, followed by a fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
This intense and arduous training has allowed him the privilege of being certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, a distinction held by few plastic surgeons.
Recognizing that aesthetic surgery combines both art and science, Dr. Brown strives to achieve an individualized, attractive and natural result while incorporating cutting-edge surgical techniques. He holds a firm belief that one's education is continuous and regularly attends meetings and lectures to remain current on the latest in plastic surgery.
Dr. Brown is fully aware that the decision to have as aesthetic procedure, whether surgical, non-surgical or at Rejuve MediSpa, is very personal and often difficult to make.
